Airports:
The Washington, DC metropolitan area is served by three major airports:
o Baltimore-Washington
International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
o Ronald Reagan Washington
National Airport (DCA)
o Washington
Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Reagan is the closest airport to the start of the race and has convenient access to the Metro
subway system. Dulles is the next closest airport and has not-so-convenient access to Metro.
BWI is the farthest from the race start and has no convenient access to Metro.
If you are planning to rent a car, all three airports are very viable options.

There are lots of places to stay. Two areas that have particularly convenient access to
shopping and restaurants and the race start are the cities of Bethesda and Gaithersburg.
Bethesda has the best restaurants and easy access to the Metro subway.
A nice hotel in Gaithersburg is the
Marriott-Washingtonian Center.
There are lots of nice hotels in Bethesda, including the American Inn of Bethesda,
the Doubletree Hotel, the Court Hotel,
